So here we go, first official beauty post on the new blog. Excited is an understatement. Hello to some sparkly Stila products.
These are the beautiful Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter and Glow Liquid Eyeshadows (phew, what a mouthful!), I have the shades Kitten Karma and Smoky Storm and I can’t even put into words how beautiful and sparkly these are. The little pot of joy in the middle is the Got Inked Cushion Eyeliner, this little baby has quickly become a holy grail liner.
As you can see from the above swatch these eyeshadows are seriously bringing their glitter game. They’re slightly odd to apply as they feel quite wet on the lid, but they do dry down. You may experience some transfer with these if you have hooded lids like myself. I would apply these straight from the wand, I attempted to apply with a brush, it got a bit messy and quite difficult to blend. Even with the slight transfer I still loved how this look came out.
Next up eyeliner;
I really struggle with liquid or gel eyeliner in terms of transfer, I have tried setting it with powder, leaving it to dry and nothing seems to work. Some eyeliners are fine when set with powder but it slightly changes the shade and isn’t black enough. This eyeliner is so black and does not move, I’ve worn this for a good 10 hours and it does not budge.
Safe to say I have clearly found my holy grail in this little baby. The shade above is Black Obsidian and it is the blackest black I’ve ever come across. The packaging is like a standard cushion foundation, just smaller which really intrigued me as I’ve never used cushion eyeliner. The product is very fluid and makes getting those sharp angles an absolute breeze.
